We provide comprehensive assistance to families in achieving their goals by equipping them with the necessary tools and support to develop their skills.
Our service primarily provides support to parent carers and their children. The support provided is individual to each family and aims to promote resilience. We are dedicated to working with each family to promote emotional health enabling both parents and children to be resilient in the face of adversity. Parents are supported to learn new skills and strategies to enhance their health, well – being, and development. We provide an opportunity for parent carers to manage their own well – being needs so they can see how awesome they are and help parent carers take care of themselves too, because they often forget about their own needs when they are looking after others.
This provision ranges from weekly parenting support and women’s groups, to informal sessions where any member of community can access advice and help, to specialist trauma support for families and individuals facing significant challenges, such as bereavement, domestic violence, behavioural issues and the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Our provision for victims of trauma uses recognised national frameworks for support to help beneficiaries identify how trauma has impacted on their lives, gain the tools to manage these impacts and heal, and to develop new confidence and positive peer networks.
Furthermore, we offer specialised workshops tailored to families, including engaging sessions on numeracy skills to promote math proficiency and confidence. Our cooking workshops not only teach families the joys of cooking but also focus on healthy eating habits and budget-friendly meal preparation. Additionally, we provide interactive sessions designed specifically for toddlers, introducing them to the world of cooking in a safe and enjoyable manner.
