Activities

Little Bryn Gwyn is Valleys Kids’ environmentally-friendly and accessible residential centre close to Reynoldston on the Gower.

Little Bryn Gwyn is nestled in a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) and the first recognised area of outstanding natural beauty in the UK.

The centre is surrounded by beautiful fields, trees, ponds and waterways, and Gower Common, and is home to many different species of wildlife.

An ideal location for hiking, cycling, outdoor activities or chilling out and relaxing away from the humdrum of busy everyday life.

Outdoors, there is a fire pit, BBQ, seating and wood fire pizza oven.

From the centre, you can easily access a footpath and walk to Cefn Bryn, home to the legendary Arthur’s Stone, one of Wales’ most famous prehistoric monuments.

Gower is hosting one of only four Green Space Dark Skies events in Wales and the starry night skies at little Bryn Gwyn are spectacular.

Little Bryn Gwyn is within five miles of the beautiful Oxwich Bay and within eight miles of Worm’s Head in Rhosilli.  For the more adventurous, surfing can be found at Caswell, Langland or Llangennith.

"A beautiful location and surroundings that enabled us as a group to enjoy each other's company to sit, talk, share stories and prepare meals together. Within easy reach of beaches, it was a great venue to be situated to be able to explore the area".

Residentials

Residentials for children and young people

The memorable experiences gained at Little Bryn Gwyn offer huge benefits for our young people by helping them to develop their self-esteem, confidence and communication skills.  As one of our Youth Workers put it:

"

"You can do more effective youth work in one weekend at Little Bryn Gwyn, than in a whole six months in youth club.”

It also offers respite space for families who may never have the chance to have a holiday.

Groups from the Valleys Kids projects visit Little Bryn Gwyn throughout the year and participate a wide range of activities including coastal walks, camping, orienteering, bike rides, team building and bush craft sessions. They also take part in arts & wellbeing residential sessions, learn about the local ecology and participate in helping to develop and improve the 6 acres of land that surround the cottage.

"

"Everything was there that was needed, the building was fresh and welcoming. It was really nice to see the little touches of the sofa and reading area in the entrance space and the addition of a bell to alert us of people arriving. Well done to the LBG team."
