To many people, Valleys Kids is their safe space. We use language that doesn’t alienate our clients, and a tone that makes them feel at ease in our company. The way we speak encourages a sense of belonging in our presence. We use inclusive language and focus on warmth and acceptance.

Our softness and compassion is always paired with a confident tone. We’re passionate about our vision and mission and this comes across in the way we speak. When people are in our company, they should feel a strong level of trust, and that they’re in good hands. We don’t shout, but we do advocate for our community and lead with experience

People should feel like they can achieve anything in our company. We use encouraging and uplifting language that makes others feel positive about their future. We don’t go over the top with it; we’re always realistic, authentic and grounded. But we know the potential of our community and speak in a way that makes others know it too.

Our support comes in many forms, but it always starts with listening. It can be as simple as a chat over a cup of tea, or as complex as supporting a parent in poverty.
