We are delighted to announce the launch of: The Front Room – A Pop Up Art Installation inspired by a sense of what ‘Home’ means.

This is a Genesis Kickstart Fund project, supported by the Genesis Foundation.

Valleys Kids’ Artist in Residence, Anne Culverhouse-Evans is spearheading this Project. The Front Room is intended to be a community catalyst for recalling forgotten memories, sharing stories and making connections.  The design of the room will evoke childhood memories, inviting people to come inside, share their stories, and create their own piece of art. It offers an escape from everyday pressures, just for a few moments, to take time to talk and remember or just contemplate what ‘Home’ means. 

The Front Room needs 3 Socially Engaged Freelance Artists.

We are looking to engage 3 freelance artists with an interest in socially engaged practice whose work resonates with the project, to work co-productively with our Artist in Residence on The Front Room project which

Applicants should be used to working in a community setting and have experience in social media and possess digital skills. This is a 10 month long project ending in March 2022.  Time commitment to be negotiable, based on fee of £21 per hour.
