RCT Pride arrived in Porth last Saturday and Sunday, on the hottest weekend of the year so
far, bringing with it a host of wonderful acts and stalls!

The event, which took place at Valleys Kids’ venue, The Factory, in Porth, was filled with a
large variety of acts from comedians, performers, drag queens like Lady Bushra and bands
like The Semantics.

Outside the venue, the car park was filled with stalls selling Pride merchandise, jewellery,
and lots of tasty food! Local charities and organisations like Mind and South Wales police
were on hand to offer helpful advice to anyone who needed it.

The weekend was family-friendly, inclusive, and accessible to all.

We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in making the event as fantastic as it
was, including Mark Euston, one of our volunteers.

We’d like to give a big shoutout to Mark. He’s been a volunteer at The Factory for over 10
years and over the weekend, he was a steward, cleaner, general runner, and all-round
amazing volunteer! Thank you Mark!
