Spooky Times

Another Fresh Beginnings event was the very spooky Halloween Festival in October.

With the help of the Artworks team and Play-workers, the building was transformed, a spooky witches house was made where children had to pass through a dark corridor to visit her for a scary story session. A very talented parent took on the role of the witch; with the scariest of laughs, even the parents were frightened! We knew it was a success by the way they left the room screaming!

Bobbing apples, pumpkin carving, flour games and many other spooky activities created an amazing atmosphere. A blacked out room that the children had to crawl through, encountering all manner of gooey objects on the way, proved to be very popular with the adults also.

Home made soup and rolls were on offer, served from a spooky cauldron, also warming people up was a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Jelly filled cups that contained a mixture of edible bugs and eyeballs were had for dessert.

A very successful event, everyone is looking forward to the next one.
