About Penygraig
Soar Centre is a beautifully converted Baptist chapel, which, along with the adjoining refurbished Vestry, function as a multi-use community resource for a diverse range of activities and opportunities. Still known locally as ‘The Bike Club’, Penygraig Community Project is a dynamic team of Community, Youth and Play Workers who are based here making things happen for the whole community from aged 0–90+.
Valleys Kids Penygraig base also encompasses:
- The old Co-operative Retail Society Headquarters at 1 Cross Street, a 3 storey building which houses the administrative base and a computer training suite.
- Penygraig & District Communities First team is based at 78 Tylacelyn Road
