Twenty children form Dinas and Penygraig were special guests at the Disney Store in Cardiff. They had a chance to meet Mickey and post their letters to Santa. For every letter posted Disney will donate a soft toy to share amongst Valleys children. Alwyn, aged 9 said “it’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Over the past 3 years Comic Relief funding has supported targeted work for children & young people who are under increasing pressure from the drinking culture in the Valleys. The project has helped to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol abuse and enabled our young people to make more informed choices. Continue reading

Their support is helping to keep our After-school play sessions going, where children can have fun: playing, cooking, dressing up, doing arts & crafts and enjoying the adventure play space in the Main Hall of Soar Centre.
Valleys Kids were one of the 50 lucky charities to benefit from Cardiff City Football Club’s recent windfall. Vincent Tan has committed £1 million per year to local charities as long as he remains club’s majority shareholder and the Bluebirds stay in the Premier League. Continue reading
